Pink colour has always been associated with "femininity" and despite now being often used indiscriminately both by men and women, back in the 60s it was a women’s only colour. The old cliché: "boys in blue, girls in pink."

There are women who like a pink gadget, although there’s a much bigger percentage of them who prefer different colours. According to Saatchi & Saatchi, only 9% of female consumers think that pink colour contributes to make a product more attractive. And, watch out! as for many she-users pink colour means automatically ruling out the purchase of an item.

Nonetheless, entering the competitive and emerging technology market we can find many products which strive to seduce and keep female customers –young girls specially– offering pinkish devices. No matter what the surveys are saying, pink does succeed; there wouldn’t be so many pinkish gadgets in the market if it didn’t.

No doubt many girls are thrilled with the Vaio CR laptop dressed in cosmopolitan pink, the pink mobile phone, the pink Cybershot camera by Sony, the pink Nintendo DS Lite, the multiple pink-coloured iPods, the new GPS also in pink colour… You can even find a pink Swiss knife –the Victorinox Swiss Army Classic SD, Pink. Just about every little device is available in… pink!

And for those who do not believe pink colour is cheesy, corny or kitschy and they proudly wear all over and carry around their favourite colour, there are a great variety of accessories to keep nice and safely our devices. So you can pink-match it all and see things through rose-coloured gadgets!
