Saint Valentine's Gifts for Him

"Men + Valentine’s Day". It’s a hard equation to solve. Take a risk with one of our gift suggestions.

Is there anything my husband wants? What more could my consumerist boyfriend possibly need? It’s all one big doubt. First, decide if you want to get him a gift at all, and then get to work. We’ll lend you a hand with some gift ideas for all sorts of guys, husbands, and boyfriends. You’re sure to hit the target with one of these gift suggestions selected by men who’ve assured us they’d love to receive them.

Heart Organ Plush Toy. For sensitive guys.
He doesn’t trust anyone because his ex-girlfriend cheated on him. You keep telling him how much you love him, but he needs more than that. Give him your heart! This plush toy is shaped like the most symbolic organ in your body. After this proof of affection, he’ll know you’ll never cheat on him.

Blue 3-D Frame. For fans and collectors.
He collects minerals, stamps, magazines, thimbles, cars, and Coke cans... he’s also got a museum-like sanctuary where he keeps all these collector’s items. If he’s an avid collector, he’ll love this 3-dimensional frame where he can store all sorts of items protected between two transparent paper films. He can keep his favorite things in it and put them on display as if they were treasures.

Lava Lamp. For men who have it all.
He has every little gadget you see advertised in magazines, when you’re together he goes all out, and he gives you incredible gifts... You know you have to find something special, but what should you get for him? In these cases, you should go for a fail-safe classic: a lava lamp. It’s green and handcrafted. It’s sure to be a hit.

Pantone Shoulder Bag. For guys who always carry a full load.
Your boyfriend is one of these guys who claims he doesn’t carry a bag because he has nothing to put in it. But, when you go out together, he makes you take his keys, cigarettes, cell phone, iPod, and a whole lot of other stuff in your dainty little handbag. Stop bickering. Give him a Pantone shoulder bag to carry all that and more, and just hope he’ll take the hint.

Hi Jack. For guys who won’t give up their iPod.
He won’t even take the ear-bud out during meals, and each time he loads a new album on his iPod, he wants you to listen to it together. But you’re sort of grossed out by the thought of sharing something that’s been in his ear... Don’t tell him that; get him a Hi-Jack, a device that has two mini-jack outlets so you can plug two different earphones into a single player.

Tie with Instructions. For clumsy executives.
He wakes you up each morning before leaving for work because, after working 4 years at the same company, he still doesn’t know how to put on a tie. He’s hopeless! Get him this tie with graphic instructions printed on it so he can make the knot by himself. It’s discrete and elegant. He’ll be grateful. And you’ll get a few extra minutes of sleep.

Space Projector. For unemployed boyfriends.
He’s been unemployed for a few months and you’re at the end of your rope. He has nothing to do, so he calls you a hundred times a day. He makes plans without warning you and shows up at your house unexpectedly. Enough! This space projector will keep him busy. He can project psychedelic images on the walls and ceiling in his own living room. He’ll spend hours looking at it and this will help him relax a bit... Maybe he’ll even find a job.

Cupid Animation. For DIY buffs.
If he makes you go to Ikea again, you’re going to leave him. You can’t take it anymore, but he insists that you must buy furniture. You know what he really wants is to assemble it. He loves nailing, fixing, and building things! This paper animation requires concentration, time, and skill... all of which you husband seems to have in abundance. Add a monkey wrench to go with it, and he’ll fall in love all over again.

Karmasheetra Sheet. For boyfriends and husbands who aren’t very creative.
Does he buy you a book to read if you tell him you’re bored in bed? Your guy is unimaginative and won’t even take the hint when he sees you wearing a see-through nightgown. He’ll snap out of it with this sheet. Put it on your bed and, when he comes over, tell him to place his hands and feet as instructed in the drawings... He’ll get it this time.

Crime Scene Scarf. For flirtatious boyfriends.
Give your possessive streak free reign and hook your boyfriend by the neck with this scarf that imitates the design of a police Crime Scene tape. The tape reads “Do Not Cross”. You know he’ll do whatever he wants when he’s out with his friends... but, while he’s with you, no one will dare go near him.
