How long it took them to build NYC? The Empire State doesn’t look that easy You’ve surely seen this building in the movies New York City subway train "NY in a Bag", an idea by Muji Muji Card Muji Box
Fans and enthusiasts of Woody Allen’s movies, architecture lovers, and handicrafts experts, they will all have a big time with this enjoyable puzzle hobby.

It is all about building Manhattan out of a paper sheet. We’ve already talked about the ReadyMech, figure toys which come folded as a PDF document for you to print, cut and fold with your own hands so that they take shape.

To get your own mini replica of the Big Apple you’ll need to follow the same procedure. Get hold of the Build Your Own New York templates and once you’ve printed them in hard copy, you will need to carefully cut out each building, fold the edges and glue them, following the assembling instructions. Now you can create as many buildings as you wish and recreate the particular NYC’s skyline that better suits your room.

There are templates to build the Empire State, subway trains, the National Memorial Arch, the Cleopatra’s Needle or the no longer existing World Trade Center, and you can download the last two for free at and .

If you are not the handicraft type but you want to decorate your shelves with some of Manhattan’s landmarks, at Muji you will find the city’s skyline in several versions. City in a Bag is a fabric bag containing several types of buildings made of wood. You can arrange them as you wish to create your particular point of view of the city.

Made of cardboard you have the Zig Zag Cards, pop-up cards featuring the skyline silhouette of different cities which you could send as cool postcards. Finally, the Box Cards, cardboard boxes representing kind of a three-dimensional New York City.

Build, fold or simply place buildings. Have you ever dreamt about having New York that near?
