A while back we told you about EasyBloom, a flower shaped device that analyzes your ecosystem and gives you advice on what sort of plants you should grow in your home or garden. But if you’re still not ready to don stout gloves and sturdy boots and grab the hedge trimmer, that is, if you’re utterly incompetent as a gardener , we recommend you read the descriptions of these curious plants. They’ll make your life easier because they demand very little attention and are especially designed for people who don’t have time to take care of plants.
Eggling
These plants grow out of a ceramic eggshell and, to start them growing, just break open the top of the eggshell as if you were about to eat a soft-boiled egg, and within a few days, the plant or flower will start poking out from inside the egg. The flowerpot is about the size of a real egg (5 x 4.5 cm) and will look great in your kitchen. Plus, the plants that grow out of this peculiar vessel are edible herbs, such as parsley, thyme, mint or basil, which are often used for cooking. There are also flowers such as petunias, lobelia, or chrysanthemums, ideal for adding an elegant touch to your night table. You can buy it here.
Plantbot
A plant pot with legs? Yes, it’s possible and it’s called Plantbot. This robotic plant pot is programmed to move about the room looking for sunlight. It’ll do so using its four wooden legs and it’ll always make sure to get your plants to the spot in the room that gets the most light. It was invented by The Play Coalition, experts in creating functional and very fun products.
Wonder Cactus
From Japan, we have an even more extravagant design: a cactus in a can. These plants make a great gift, everyone likes them, but if you insist on taking the metro carrying a clay pot, you’d better think of another gift. The creators of this cactus have found the perfect package for transporting plants, a simple can. How does it work? All you have to do is take it out of the can and water it and it will grow happily. They assure us that within half an hour you’ll have a beautiful cactus like the one in the picture. Miraculous, isn’t it?
