They’re robots made of cardboard that only know how to walk in a straight line and their objective is to reach a certain point in the city. Will people on the streets be willing to help?

Lend him a hand if you run into him. He’ll need it.
Tweenbots are robots that walk around New York all by themselves. They’re made of cardboard and always have a smile on their faces. They can only walk in a straight line and a they have a flag tagged on that gives instructions and explains their objective: to reach some point in the city with the help of passersby.

This robot, for instance, had to make it from the northern corner of Washington Square Park to its southern-most edge.

"Executive Suite", a film by Robert Wise
The End: thanks to the movies, these are the first two English language words many non-native speakers learn as children. It’s sad but filmmakers have gradually begun to abandon the custom of finishing their films with this legend.

That may be why graphic designer Dill Pixels wanted to start a collection of old film endings. "The End" is the name of the group he started on Flickr so he could share his finds with the rest of the world.

Keep yourself entertained by opening countless cans of beer
Its official name is Mugen Kan Beeru and it’s another of Bandai’s Infinite Toys or Mugen, those incredibly absurd, and entertaining, Japanese toys that reproduce trivial moments of everyday life just for fun.

You want one, don’t deny it!
You want one, don’t deny it!
There are so many web sites and blogs dedicated to publicizing the latest inventions, designs, and ideas, that it seems almost impossible to find something that’s truly surprising. But, fortunately, sometimes this still happens. The Curiosite team was surprised to find this truly bizarre invention on the Internet: Spider Catcher, and "ecological and animal friendly" spider trap. The "Spider Catcher" was developed by Irishman Tony Allen who spent years trying to catch spiders using vacuum cleaners and folded newspapers.

Al Fondo a la Derecha

That’s the title of this WC Book, a book/object that includes a compilation of symbols, icons, and pictograms from public bathrooms from around the world.

The book is full of pictures like this one
The book is full of pictures like this one
-Pardon me, where are the restrooms?
-Down the hall to your right

It’s almost a rhetorical question, since that’s where the bathroom is in 90% of cases. And that’s precisely why the book is titled, Al Fondo a la Derecha, in other words, "Down the hall to your right". It’s actually a WC Book, a book that compiles pictures of public restrooms from around the world; not the interior, though, just the symbols, icons, and pictograms that identify bathroom doors in several different countries.

This is how Doraemon used to look: he was yellow and had ears
Did you know that Doraemon was once yellow and had ears? He looked just like he does in this photograph. The video clip bellow shows Doraemon being interviewed by Tetuko, a very famous Japanese TV host, on her show, Tetuko no heya (Tetuko’s room), which has aired every weekday for the past 30 years. Tetuko interviews very well known people and, although it’s very odd to have a cartoon character as a guest, this time it’s Doraemon’s turn.

Very realistic packaging

These fruit juice cartons imitate the look and feel of the fruit they contain. Provocative, popish, and, above all, very realistic.

When you finish the juice, you’ll want to eat the container
When you finish the juice, you’ll want to eat the container
Surely at some point you’ve had the impulse to buy something just because it looked interesting. A book, a CD, some cereal, or even detergent... And some claim what matters is on the inside. Any fan of cool packaging – and that includes anyone who’s ever committed the sin of buying on aesthetic impulse- would definitely buy these juice boxes that look and feel like the fruit inside as soon as they saw them on the supermarket shelf.
